A boutique design and build firm, THR Design Build specializes in new home construction and larger residential remodels. The team at THR, along with its trusted network of professionals, strive to streamline your project by providing all services that are needed for the new build process including: architectural drafting and planning, engineering , permitting, selections overview, construction, and landscape design.
Drew Taylor
Owner & General Contractor
As a licensed general contractor, Drew Taylor keeps THR running smoothly. Through planning and communication, he strives to make the construction experience as efficient and effective as possible. Drew has spent the last decade overseeing the construction of both new and old structures while always keeping a close eye on budget and timeline.
Rachel Taylor
owner & home designer
With a Masters in Architecture as her foundation, Rachel Taylor creates and oversees the overall design and details within the spaces THR produces. She has vision for what can be done in a home, and the ability to bring that vision to reality. Rachel’s obsession for authentic design, quality craftsmanship, and concise approach, lead THR’s mission as they continue to create the spaces which they have become known for.
Matt Kilgo
Project Manager
Project Manager Matt Kilgo oversees construction operations in the field. He keeps clients and subcontractors updated and is responsible for scheduling the crew and trades once construction is underway. His calm demeanor makes organizing all aspects of construction look easy - even though it’s not.

Office Manager Logan Ertz acts as the hub of the operation. A skilled and experienced OM, Logan has 20 years in the remodeling and new home construction industry. Tasked with ‘keeping the trains running on time,” Logan’s attention to detail and communication skills are invaluable to providing our clients with an exceptional experience.

Design Assistant Paige Stokes, a graduate of Appalachian State University, uses her degree in design to select all the fixtures, paint colors, and hardware that makes a house your home. Paige has superior customer service skills which make her a valuable ally to our custom home clients during, what could be without her, a stressful experience. Paige works closely with our clients, our trades, and our executive staff to make sure your dream house comes to life.

Home Design Assistant Brenna Johnson is the newest addition to the THR family. Brenna has a Master of Architecture from the University of Miami where she studied under the founds of the New Urbanism movement. Brenna has workplace experience ranging from high rise residential units in Miami to the design of restaurants around the country. Brenna’s primary responsibility at THR Design Build is working with Rachel to design and deliver a superior quality home.
